ATTENTION: Recent re-opening of international tourism to Valencia has led to a significant raise on the prices for accommodation. We therefore recommend you to start booking your accommodation as soon as possible. Here are a couple of options (the first one comes with a special deal for the school participants, so we recommend it):
* Residencia RESA PATACONA (near the beach, with swimming pool and direct metro to the University):
https://www.resa.es/es/resarooms/valencia/resa-patacona/patacona/
Individual rooms range typically between 65 to 80 euros per night (depending on views to sea, whether the payment is reimbursable or not, etc). However, using the code
COSMO22
you will get a 15% discount on the price, so that the final price for an individual room should range between ~55 Euros to 68 Euros per night. We hope as many of you can access to this option, so please hurry up to book your room as it is not clear how many rooms they will maintain available at this price for us.
There are also few double rooms with two separate beds, in case you prefer to pair with someone to make it cheaper.
* Casa del Patriarca (in the city, communicated by metro with the university)
https://casadelpatriarca.com/
Prices of individual rooms start here at 55 Euros, and they have several double and triple rooms with separate beds, which you may also want to explore in case you prefer to share room to make it cheaper.
* Search for your own option: You can look for either cheaper or more expensive options yourselves by searching in:
www.booking.com
www.airbnb.com
- If you have a good budget and you want us to recommend you a proper hotel, please let us know.
- If you have a low budget and you wish to group with few others to share an apartment or other similar option, say e.g.~through airbnb, please organise yourselves through this google doc where you can communicate with others to make your own group arrangements:
Sharing Accommodation - Google sheet
IMPORTANT: The school will be held in the campus of Valencia University, which can be reached by tram/metro at the Line-4 stop "Vicent Andres Estelles", so have this in mind to estimate the time to get there by public transport from your accommodation. Luckily Valencia is relatively small, so most places should be within a ~30-50 mins metro/tram ride (even including changes of line).
PLEASE: Once you have booked your own accommodation let us know by adding a comment on your registration in Indico: you just need to edit your original registration and add the comment 'accommodation booked'. This way we can monitor who has secured already their accommodation, or who still needs some further help/tips on this.

In order to enable an iCal export link, your account needs to have an API key created. This key enables other applications to access data from within Indico even when you are neither using nor logged into the Indico system yourself with the link provided. Once created, you can manage your key at any time by going to 'My Profile' and looking under the tab entitled 'HTTP API'. Further information about HTTP API keys can be found in the Indico documentation.
Additionally to having an API key associated with your account, exporting private event information requires the usage of a persistent signature. This enables API URLs which do not expire after a few minutes so while the setting is active, anyone in possession of the link provided can access the information. Due to this, it is extremely important that you keep these links private and for your use only. If you think someone else may have acquired access to a link using this key in the future, you must immediately create a new key pair on the 'My Profile' page under the 'HTTP API' and update the iCalendar links afterwards.
