DESCRIPTION:This is a school aimed to provide a pedagogical introduction
to lattice field theory techniques and their adaptation to simulate the d
ynamics of interacting fields in an expanding background. The lectures wi
ll serve as well as an introduction to CosmoLattice\, a public code rec
ently developed for lattice simulations of early Universe scenarios. The
use of CosmoLattice as a tool to simulate scalar and gauge field non-linea
r dynamics in an expanding universe will be presented in full detail. Mode
rn applications to preheating scenarios\, gravitational wave production\,
non-minimally coupled scalar field dynamics\, axion-like field dynamics
\, and maybe others\, will also be covered.\n\nThe school is aimed to anyo
ne who would like to learn (or simply improve their knowledge on) how to s
imulate in a lattice the dynamics of early Universe field theory scenarios
. The lectures will cover:\n\n* Lattice field theory techniques: discretis
ation schemes\, lattice gauge techniques\, and more.\n* Numerical algorith
 ms for differential equations: Leapfrog\, Verlet\, Runge-Kutta\, etc\n* Ov
 erview of CosmoLattice: libraries\, modularity\, parallelisation\, ...\n*
Lattice simulations of interacting fields in an expanding background:\n
    - Scalar field dynamics with arbitrary potentials\n    - U(1) gaug
e theories with complex charged scalars\n    - SU(2) gauge theories wit
h doublet charged scalars\n* Modern applications to early Universe scenari
os:\n    - Preheating scenarios and onset of radiation domination\n
   - Production and evolution of gravitational waves\n    - Dynamics of
  derivatively coupled Axion-like fields\n    - Dynamics of non-minimall
 y coupled scalar fields\n    - Others\, if time permits\n\nMain lecture
 s will be given by:\n\n- Daniel G. Figueroa ........... IFIC\, Valencia\,
 Spain\n- Adrien Florio  ......... Stony Brook\, New York\, US\n- Francisc
 o Torrenti .......... Basel U.\, Switzerland\n\nTopical lectures will be
  given by:\n\n - Jorge Baeza .......................  IFIC\, Valencia\,
  Spain\n - Joanes Lizarraga  ......... UPV/EHU\, Bilbao\, Spain\n - N
 icolas Loayza  .................. IFIC\, Valencia\, Spain\n - Kenneth M
 arschall ............  Basel U.\, Switzerland\n - Toby Opferkuch  ....
 ........ Berkeley\, California\, US\n - Ben A. Stefanek ............... Z
 urich U.\, Switzerland\n - Ander Urio   ................... UPV/EHU\,
Bilbao\, Spain\n \n\nObservations: The school will he held in person in
Valencia\, Spain\, during 5-8 Sept 2022. Applications can be sent till Ju
ly 31st 2022 through this website. In case the demand exceeds our room c
apacity\, we will give preference to young researchers (PhD students and
postdocs). There is no fee\, but participants must cover their own accommo
dation (see suggestions in "Accommodation Options" in the left upper menu)
. Participants need also to bring their own laptop\, otherwise they won't
be able to do the practice sessions. \n\n \n\nWe look forward to welcomi
 ng you in sunny Valencia!\n\n \n\n           \n\n \n\nhttps://ind
