Lecturer: M. Hirsch
Dates: Mondays and Fridays @15pm from June 7th-25th.
Course Description:
This introductory lecture on supersymmetry has two parts. In the first part, basic formal aspects of supersymmetry will be introduced: Supersymmetry transformations, the chiral and vector superfields, the Wess-Zumino model, supersymmetric interactions, soft SUSY breaking etc. In the second part the Minimal Supersymmetric Extension of the Standard Model (MSSM) will be discussed, with special emphasis on collider phenomenology and results from LHC searches. If time permits, some more exotic variants of supersymmetric models will be discussed briefly at the end of the lectures.
