Abstract
MoEDAL is an LHC experiment specifically designed to search for anomalously ionizing messengers of new physics such as magnetic monopoles or massive (pseudo-)stable charged particles, predicted to exist in many beyond Standard Model theories. The MoEDAL experiment started data taking at the LHC at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV in 2012. In this talk, I will present the latest search results from the MoEDAL detector on magnetic monopole and highly ionizing electrically charged particle production. In addition, progress on the installation and physics reach of the MoEDAL Apparatus for the detection of Penetrating Particles (MAPP) sub-detector will be discussed.
