Abstract
The way the holographic dictionary works for bulk approximate local degrees of freedom has been understood in recent years. On the one hand, there is a way to smear local CFT operators to reach a part of the bulk known as the causal wedge. On the other hand, motivated from the Ryu-Takayanagi formula, there is the possibility of using the entanglement between CFT degrees of freedom to gain access to a larger region in the bulk, known as the entanglement wedge, at the expense of smearing non-local CFT operators.
In this talk, I will show the necessity of considering the CFT entanglement if we want to have access to bulk local degrees of freedom near a cosmological singularity. To illustrate this phenomenon, I will mostly focus on the Kasner-AdS model, and I will comment on other situations in the end.
