Abstract
We present an overview of the state-of-the-art on antimatter research, for both primordial and secondary antimatter. We also describe the experiments carried out at CERN to create and analyze antiatoms, and clarify why matter-antimater annihilation is not suitable to cover the energetic needs of our society.
