I will discuss the status and future prospects on the calculation of hadronic matrix elements relevant for quark flavour physics using lattice QCD techniques, including decay constants, semileptonic form factors and neutral mixing parameters. In particular, I will focus on those observables involved in the analysis of CKM unitarity and those where tensions between experiment and SM predictions have been observed.
