This talk will present an introduction about Springer and its role serving authors, including its activities in Science and Physics in particular. I will discuss the publishing process and how potential authors (you!) can get started to produce a book proposal. Finally I will discuss the Golden Rules of STM Publishing in Today's Environment and what Springer does to meet the expectations of the authors, and the discovery tools for scientific information.
