Recent results in Palatini gravity.

In this talk I will comment on several results obtained over the last three years within the context of Palatini theories of gravity: extensions of General Relativity whose distinctive feature is the fact that metric and affine structures are regarded as independent entities. In this way, I will deal with several scenarios involving f(R) theories, nonsingular solutions, extensions of Reissner-Norstrom black holes, wormholes, dynamical aspects and wormhole formation, black holes at particle accelerators, non-trivial topology and topology change, geons, space-time foam, and the ER=EPR scenario that relates wormholes and quantum entanglement. Some ongoing projects will also be briefly discussed.
