Description
The LBNE beamline complex is designed to provide a neutrino beam of sufficient intensity and energy to meet the goals of the LBNE experiment with respect to long-baseline neutrino oscillation physics. Presented in this talk will be the issues related to the baseline design from the physics, beam power (>1 MW), lifetime, and radiological requirements. Potential future
upgrades to the beamline to improve the neutrino flux spectrum and for higher beam power (>2 MW) will also be presented
