Full-simulation studies of jet reconstruction at future e+e- colliders at the energy frontier have shown that the overlaid energy deposits due to the gamma gamma -> hadrons background can have an important impact on the performance. We present a new sequential recombination algorithm for e+e- colliders and compare its performance to the most commonly used jet reconstruction algorithms. The Valencia algorithm is found to be significantly more robust in the presence of background.
