Descripción
Gauge boson fusion processes represent one of the most important channels for Higgs boson discovery at the LHC, one with relatively large cross-section and very clear signature formed by two tagging jets in the forward region of the detector. As the irreducible background comes from other VBF processes with similar structure, there is a need to analyze and understand these processes with accuracy that goes beyond the leading order. In my talk, I will present our calculation of next-to-leading-order QCD corrections to the vector boson fusion and try to explain some of the difficulties one encounters when having to deal with the complexity of diagrams with eight external legs and methods we implemented to overcome them.
