Status of Deep-Inelastic Scattering and PDFs for the LHC

The status of unpolarized and polarized parton distributions is reviewed. After describing the theoretical background I discuss the precision reached for the various flavor distributions and the gluon distribution in DIS QCD-analyses at the 3-loop level. The status of alpha_s(M_Z^2) determined in global analysis is discussed. Finally I discuss the errors of key processes at the LHC like W/Z-production, the Drell-Yan process, ttbar- and Higgs-boson production w.r.t. the uncertainty of parton densities.
