DESCRIPTION:The status of unpolarized and polarized parton distributions i
 s reviewed. After describing the theoretical background I discuss the prec
 ision reached for the various flavor distributions and the gluon distribut
 ion in DIS QCD-analyses at the 3-loop level. The status of alpha_s(M_Z^2) 
 determined in global analysis is discussed. Finally I discuss the errors o
 f key processes at the LHC like W/Z-production\, the Drell-Yan process\, t
 tbar- and Higgs-boson production w.r.t. the uncertainty of parton densitie
