Descripción
The transverse momentum (kt) distribution and the two-particle correlations inside gluon and quark jets produced at high energy colliders, are computed within the NLO Modified Leading Logarithmic Approximation (MLLA) at small energy fraction of the outgoing partons. Next-to-MLLA corrections which better account for energy conservation at each step of the cascading process has been incorporated, such that the agreement of our predictions for kt-distributions with CDF data is very good as compared with MLLA. The two-particle correlations are obtained from the exact solution of QCD evolution equations and the agreement with the OPAL data was improved as compared with previous approaches. In both cases, the role of hadronization is modelled from Local Parton-Hadron Duality (LPHD) hypothesis, signaling better agreement with the data in the case of less inclusive observables.
