Descripción
Many interesting aspects of the Early Universe involve physics out of thermal equilibrium, which cannot be studied reliably in the framework of thermal perturbation theory. After reviewing the shortcomings of the perturbative approach, we describe the use of the Wilson Renormalization Group at finite temperature and its application in the cosmological context. In particular we will discuss thermal masses, damping rates, phase transitions, and the anomalous baryon number violation above the electroweak phase transition.
