Description

RaymundusThe Raymundus Lullus program aims at supporting established researchers and engineers in gaining expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced computing technologies.  VITA TOTA DISCENDA EST!

Lectures consist on 35' of fundamentals  + 45' hands-on.

LECTURE 1: In this lecture, the transformer architecture will be introduced, and the self-attention mechanism that enables its remarkable performance will be explained. The main advantages of this approach and its growing impact on scientific research and data analysis will be discussed.

The program has two main objectives:

  • To equip established researchers with up-to-date knowledge in advanced computing technologies, enhancing both their research and their ability to supervise students.

  • To provide early-career researchers who have developed expertise in emerging computational methods with opportunities to strengthen their teaching and communication skills.
