Gravitational waves have opened a new window into studying our universe. Yet many of these signals are buried under noise in detection, making them difficult to be detected with traditional methods. In this talk, we explore how we can use Machine Learning (ML) to uncover these faint signals.

Using data from space-based detectors like LISA and ground-based ones like LIGO, we apply ML to reconstruct gravitational-wave backgrounds from distant blackhole mergers and new-physics sources like cosmic strings. These new approaches are not only more flexible than traditional techniques but also faster and better suited to the challenges of modern gravitational-wave astronomy.
