DESCRIPTION:Gravitational waves have opened a new window into studying our
universe. Yet many of these signals are buried under noise in detection\,
making them difficult to be detected with traditional methods. In this ta
lk\, we explore how we can use Machine Learning (ML) to uncover these fain
t signals.\n\nUsing data from space-based detectors like LISA and ground-b
ased ones like LIGO\, we apply ML to reconstruct gravitational-wave backgr
ounds from distant blackhole mergers and new-physics sources like cosmic s
trings. These new approaches are not only more flexible than traditional t
echniques but also faster and better suited to the challenges of modern gr
 avitational-wave astronomy.\n\nhttps://indico.ific.uv.es/event/8616/
