Descripción

In this talk, I will discuss the theories of hydrodynamics and elasticity, their relevance, and range of applicability. In doing so, as an example, I will mention  recent progress in the transport of relativistic chiral fluids. Then, I will explain how the description of solids can be reinterpreted in terms of gauge fields and its relation to the physics of fractons. Fractons are a new class of quasiparticles that has been proposed in condensed matter theory, possessing highly exotic properties, such as the lack or reduced mobility. To finish, I will construct hydrodynamics models capturing the transport properties of one class of fracton models.
