Noble gas time projection chambers with electroluminiscence amplification is a well-known technique which has been strongly developed in the last decades, specially in the context of dark matter and neutrinoless double beta decay searches. While they have already left an enduring legacy to the field, their full potential is yet to be exploited and new ideas are welcomed. In this talk I'll go over new approaches to the technique with the focus on their utility to search for neutrino-related processes, concretely neutrinoless double beta decay and coherent elastic neutrino nucleus scattering.
