Description

I will start by presenting myself, my job history, and my collaborators. I will then describe the three main research lines I am pursuing at the moment, all within the broad fields of quantum gravity and relativistic quantum field theory. The first concerns quantum black holes, in particular the statistical origin of black hole entropy. The second concerns quantum information and symmetries in quantum field theory, which focuses on the emerging notion of generalized symmetries and the generalized Landau paradigm. The third concerns quantum chaos and quantum complexity, which deals with new approaches to quantum chaos based on ideas from the field of quantum computation and their application to black holes and quantum gravity. In each line, I will describe the results achieved and open questions.
