Electroweak baryogenesis (EWBG) can be driven by the top quark in a general two Higgs doublet model (g2HDM) that possesses a second set of Yukawa couplings, while exotic Higgs quartic couplings provide the prerequisite first order EW phase transition. The complex extra diagonal top Yukawa coupling ρtt fuels the baryon asymmetry of the Universe, BAU, through the product λt Imρtt . To evade the new JILA 2022 bound on the electron electric dipole moment (eEDM), one needs the complex extra electron Yukawa coupling ρee for exquisite cancellation among dangerous two-loop Barr-Zee
diagrams. This mechanism suggests that the extra Yukawa couplings echo the hierarchical structure of the observed usual Yukawa couplings: |ρee |/|ρtt | ~ λe/λt . To achieve “CP Violation for the Heavens” but evade the stringent eEDM constraint on “the Earth” is no mean feat. Phenomenological consequences in exotic Higgs search and the flavor sector are discussed. In particular CMS search for cg → tH/tA → ttc(bar)
became public at the EPS-HEP conference, while ATLAS paper 2307.14759 was submitted to JHEP. The EW phase transition issue has stimulated a Spain-Taiwan exchange program for the lattice study of g2HDM.
