I will discuss a few aspects of DM discovery limits (neutrino floor) in multi-ton DM detectors, paying special attention to WIMP signal and neutrino background uncertainties. I will show that actual measurements of the coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEvNS) process enable a model-independent determination of the neutrino floor. I will then move on to the discussion of efforts of measuring CEvNS with decay-in-flight neutrino beams.
