In this talk, I will highlight the path towards New Physics as possibly suggested by the current experimental stage we are in for what concerns, in particular, Flavor Physics.
I will start reviewing the up-to-date status of a Standard Model precision tool such as the Unitarity Triangle, presenting the latest results from the UTfit collaboration as of 2022. Then, I will move on discussing the current hints for Lepton Universality Violation, coming from state-of-the-art measurements of semileptonic rare B decays. Paying attention to hadronic unknowns, I will present the simplest interpretation of these clues for New Physics via the language of the Standard Model Effective Field Theory. I will conclude by mentioning some exciting opportunities for the progress of the field in the foreseeable future.
