Positivity bounds in the Standard Model effective field theory

Positivity bounds are restrictions on the sign of Wilson coefficients of effective field theories derived from the unitarity and analiticity of the S-matrix. In this talk, I will review how these constraints limit the parameter space of the Standard Model effective field theory, and I will discuss subtleties related to the presence of loops of massless particles (including the potential breakdown of positivity under the renormalisation group).
