The successful establishment of a wide range of results consistent with Standard Model (SM) expectations at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and beyond has placed a renewed interest on very exotic particles and non-standard experimental signatures as potential channels for the discovery of physics beyond the SM. This seminar summarizes the status of full Run 2 searches for long-lived particles at the LHC experiments and focuses on the search prospects for Run 3 and the High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC).
