Observing gamma rays at very high energies (VHE) from the universe is important in understanding the physics of active galactic nuclei, pulsars, microquasars, gamma-ray bursts, and testing the existing theories of gravity and space-time. Especially if performed using multimessenger observing strategies, which coordinate different instruments detecting photons and other particles (for ex. neutrinos) at a wide range of energies, in order to complete different pieces of the "puzzles".

In the seminar talk, MAGIC (Major Atmospheric Gamma Imaging Cherenkov telescopes) and CTA (Cherenkov Telescope Array) gamma observatories will be presented, with the emphasis on the observing strategies that need to take in account fundamental properties of the cosmic sources and observational constraints, in order to successfully face the challenge of multimessenger observations.
