Descripción
The merging of two neutron stars or a neutron star and a black hole are dense in neutrinos. We will review the role of neutrinos and their flavor conversions in the synthesis of the heavy elements above the merger torus. The chances of detecting high-energy neutrinos produced in the merger aftermath will be also discussed.
