Descripción
Extensions of the Standard Model with additional scalar multiplets can allow for CP violation. However, often, the corresponding potentials are rather complicated and with the possibility of basis transformations it can be unclear if a model is CP violating or not, and which parameters can contribute to CP violation. CP-odd basis invariants solve both of these problems by eliminating basis transformations from the game and isolating CP violating quantities. I present recent results concerning a new systematic method for finding such CP-odd invariants, and example applications to a variety of potentials of 2, 3 or 6 Higgs singlets or doublets invariant under discrete symmetries.
