Descripción
CLIC is a high-energy e+e- linear collider under development. It is based on a novel two beam accelerating scheme and has the capability to operate at centre-of-mass energies ranging from a few hundred GeV to 3 TeV. The talk will include a short introduction to the CLIC accelerator technology and the status of its development. The CLIC physics potential will be outlined: it includes high-precision Higgs measurements, top physics and searches for new physics phenomena; it is largely complementarity to LHC. The CLIC experiment concept under study and a snapshot of its related detector R&D will also be presented.
