Descripción
The Lambda(1405) resonance has for long been claimed as a molecular state of K(bar)N and pion-Sigma. Theoretical results with the chiral unitary approach showed that there are two states rather than one, and some experiments have supported these findings. Recently the large set of pion-Sigma photoproduction data from JLAB, and the K^*-p atomic data from Frascati have offered new tests of this idea. Two independent analyses of these data, one by L. Roca and the other by M. Mai, will be presented and contrasted, both of them concluding the existence of two states, one, narrow, around 1420 MeV, and the other one, wider, around 1360 MeV.
