Using the Fermi Large Area Telescope for dark matter searches

Since its launch in 2008, results on indirect detection of dark matter from the Fermi LAT have made significant inroads in constraint standard dark matter scenarios, while also strongly disfavoring models created as dark matter for dark matter interpretation of the ATIC, Fermi LAT, and PAMELA electron and positron measurements. In this talk I will review these results, and discuss prospects and plans for future Fermi LAT dark matter investigations.
