Descripción
My purpose is to directly study, from first principles, correlators of gauge invariant quantities in pure Yang-Mills theory (and, later, QCD), thus trying to get more insight in the physical excitations of the theory. In order to avoid having to extensively study the dynamics of gauge dependent field before being able to turn to the quantities of physical interest, I consider Schwinger-Dyson equations for Wilson loops. For this, the formalism for Schwinger-Dyson equations on a lattice is extended to include connected correlators, and equations for propagators and interaction vertices are written down. Some steps towards a solution in the large-N limit are made.
