B-decays have proven in the past to be phenomenologically highly relevant for constraining the parameters of the flavour sector and provide a promising way for detecting new physics at future high precision experiments. Both inclusive and exclusive decay modes can be calculated from first principles by disentangling the long-distance and short-distance physics by means of heavy quark expansion where the short-distance quantities are accessible to perturbation theory. In the last years there has been much effort to compute higher order QCD corrections. I will give a short overview on the construction sites of the last years and present in more detail two calculations, I was involved in. In particular I will talk about the calculations of B -> Xs l+l- and B -> pi pi/ rho rho at order alpha_s^2, where I will present techical details as well as phenomenological results.
