Descripción
Physics motivation of charged lepton flavor violation (cLFV) with muons, which has attract much attention from theorists and experimentalists, is discussed. An experimental proposal to search for muon to electron conversion in a muonic atom, which is one of the cLFV processes, at a sensitivity of better than 10^{-16} at J-PARC (called the COMET experiment) is presented. Future prospect to search for the same process at a sensitivity of better than 10^{-18}, called the PRISM/PRIME experiment, is also mentioned. And the R&D for the COMET and PRISM/PRIME will be given, together with the on-going project to construct a muon source of 10^{8} muon/sec at Osaka University (the MUSIC project) is described as a prototype to the COMET and PRISM/PRIME.
