Descripción
The Pierre Auger Observatory is currently the largest cosmic ray observatory. Its goal is to study the Ultra High Energy Cosmic Ray (UHECR) with energy above 1018 eV. It is designed to have two sites in the Northern and Southern hemisphere. The Southern observatory, that is located near the town of Malargue in Argentina is completed and has been taken data in a stable manner since January 2004. The Auger collaboration has already presented results on: 1) Anisotropy and correlation of the highest energy CR. 2) Composition studies. 3) Upper limit on CR photon flux above 1019 eV. 4) Limit on the diffuse flux of ultra high energy neutrino. 5) Spectrum of UHECR A summary of these topics together with the description of the Pierre Auger Observatory will be outlined in this talk.
