Introduction to Holographic Models - AdS/CFT correspondence

A light-front holography model will be introduced which is based on the correspondence of string theory in Anti-de-Sitter space and conformal field theory in physical space time known as AdS/CFT correspondence. It allows string modes in AdS space to be precisely mapped to the light-front wave functions of hadrons. This framework is finally used to calculate meson properties such as decay constants and the mass spectrum.
