Descripción
Neutrino non-standard interactions arising at a scale not far from the electroweak one can be detected in solar neutrino experiments. We first provide an effective Lagrangian analysis of these interactions. Second we discuss the existing associated phenomenological constraints. At present, such interactions are strongly constrained only for $\nu_\mu$: the bounds are loose for $\nu_e$ and absent for $\nu_\tau$. We emphasize the unique role played by the reaction $e^+e^-\rightarrow \nu \bar{\nu}\gamma$ in providing direct constraints on such non-standard interactions. Third, we perform an analysis of the Super Kamiokande and SNO data to investigate their sensitivity to such interactions. Finally, we propose to search for these interactions at the Borexino detector. Indeed, the conversion of solar $\nu_e$ into $\nu_\mu$ strongly mixed with $\nu_\tau$, as the atmospheric neutrino data point to, could reveal $\nu_\tau$ novel interactions in the the measurement of the recoil electron energy spectrum in $\nu~e \rightarrow \nu~e$. The same analysis is also performed assuming non-standard interactions of $\nu_e$.
