Descripción
The super-heat-kernel technique is a very efficient method for the determination of the one-loop functional of (non-renormalizable) theories with boson-fermion interactions. I try to give a pedagogical introduction into the subject and I illustrate the method with some applications to chiral perturbation theory with baryons and leptons, respectively. Further information can be found in Phys. Lett. B 438 (1998) 106 (hep-ph/9806436), Eur. Phys. J. C 7 (1999) 355 (hep-ph/9807425, and hep-ph/9905420).
