Descripción
As the Pomeron is made of glue then the production of mesons by pomeron fusion (as in pp to pp+ meson) should be a rich source of glueballs. However, qqbar states are prominent experimentally. The talk describes recent experimental discoveries that have enabled a separation of qqbar states from exotic glueball candidates and which have given a surprising insight into the nature of the Pomeron. The talk will give the answers but the puzzle is to decide what the question is!
