Chiral Gauge Theories on the Lattice

It is well known that the lattice has problems with chiral symmetry, which makes even the construction of chiral gauge theories on the lattice very difficult. In this talk, I'll spend at least half of the time on explaining the deeper reasons for these difficulties. I will then in the second half discuss some of the recent progress, with emphasis on the so-called "gauge-fixing" or "Roma" approach.
