Searching for New Physics in K -> p ll decays

We discuss the status of the theoretical predictions for the rare decays K -> p nu nu-bar and K_L -> pi^0 e^+ e^-, both within and beyond the SM. Particular attention is devoted to the role of supersymmetric contributions.
