Description
I discuss the application of perturbative QCD to processes with high center-of-mass energy, such as deep-inelastic scattering at small x but not necessarily large Q^2. I show that by means of a suitable form of factorization it is possible to derive a renormalization group equation which resums large logarithms of energy, thereby extending aymptotic freedom to this regime. I show that the solutions to this equation are consistent with phenomenological expectations and unitarity bounds.
