DESCRIPTION:Nuclear matrix elements (NMEs) play a central role in describi
ng weak-interaction processes such as inverse beta decay (IBD) and neutrin
oless double-beta decay (0νββ). These processes are essential for probi
ng neutrino properties and exploring physics beyond the Standard Model. Ho
wever\, reliable determination of NMEs remains a major challenge in nuclea
r physics.\nA novel experimental strategy seeks to constrain NMEs through
the study of electromagnetic (EM) transitions from isobaric analog states
(IAS)\, providing an indirect but powerful probe of the relevant nuclear s
tructure components.\nIn this presentation\, I will discuss the joint effo
rts of the LNL-CSIC group toward this goal\, highlighting ongoing experime
nts\, complementary methodological approaches\, and the broader implicatio
ns of this program for reducing theoretical uncertainties in NME calculati
 ons.\n\nhttps://indico.ific.uv.es/event/8552/
