DESCRIPTION:This seminar presents an effective Lagrangian formulation of t
he Generalized Uncertainty Principle (GUP) based on Hermitian and gauge-in
variant operators\, allowing GUP effects to be consistently embedded withi
n effective field theory. Phenomenological bounds on the GUP scale derived
from high-energy Compton scattering are discussed\, illustrating how prec
ision measurements can constrain GUP-induced deviations. Finally\, the imp
act of GUP deformations on the topological sector of QED is addressed\, sh
owing how otherwise unphysical CP-odd terms acquire dynamical relevance an
 d lead to CP-violating effects.\n\nhttps://indico.ific.uv.es/event/8440/
