DESCRIPTION:With the LHC nuclear collisions enter the TeV territory for th
e first time. This enlarges by orders of magnitude the phase space for QCD
studies in which high temperatures or high densities are relevant. The fi
rst data from the LHC has already set the stage\, the density of the produ
ced medium is the largest ever created\, while some observables seem to in
dicate that the viscosity could be similar to that found previously at RHI
 C. I will review the new theoretical developments in the field\, especiall
y those for in-medium modifications of QCD jets\, a probe of the medium wh
ich becomes especially relevant at the large energies of the LHC. In sight
of these developments\, the new experimental data from the LHC will be co
 mmented and put into perspective.\n\nhttps://indico.ific.uv.es/event/844/
