DESCRIPTION:In recent years\, correlation measurements at the Large Hadron
Collider\, particularly in small collision systems such as proton-proton\
, have proven to be a powerful and complementary experimental tool to acce
ss the strong interaction in hadronic systems with strange and charm conte
nt.\n\nThe underlying QCD dynamics in these sectors can give rise to a ric
h spectrum of exotic states beyond the conventional meson and baryon pictu
re. The nature and internal structure of such states are strongly influenc
ed by the interplay between coupled channels\, and experimental constraint
s on their properties are typically obtained from invariant-mass analyses
performed at hadronic and at electron-positron colliders.\n\nIn this talk\
, I will discuss how femtoscopy can contribute to the search for and the u
nderstanding of these exotic states. I will present recent results on corr
elation measurements from Run 2 data collected by the ALICE collaboration
for systems involving strange and charm hadrons. Preliminary expectations
for measurements with the ongoing Run 3 data taking will be briefly discus
sed\, together with future perspectives offered by the novel ALICE 3 exper
iment\, highlighting the potential of femtoscopy to shed light on the comp
 osition of heavy multi-quark states.\n\n\n\n \n\nhttps://indico.ific.uv.e
