DESCRIPTION:New strongly-coupled confining dark sectors have found applica
tion throughout numerous areas of particle physics\, extending from dark m
atter itself\, to theories that address the hierarchy problem\, to providi
ng a vast array of new collider signals. I'll provide an overview of the t
heory space\, the dark matter candidates\, and then discuss some very simp
le theories that have surprising dark matter and collider physics properti
es. The elastic scattering cross section for direct detection experiments
can be highly suppressed for dark baryons due to the structure of theory a
nd the symmetries that survive confinement. Dark mesons can be strongly co
nstrained by disappearing track searches as well as resonant production an
d decay\, the latter arising because of a global-gauge-gauge anomaly that
was not previously recognized. I'll conclude with a brief discussion of ot
her fascinating results and mention some of the many open questions that r
 emain.\n\nZoom link\n\n\n\n \n\nhttps://indico.ific.uv.es/event/8397/
