DESCRIPTION:The dose delivered in high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR BT) tr
 eatments is high\, ranging from 3 Gy to 20 Gy per fraction. Mistakes can l
 ead to under or overdosage with the potential for clinical adverse effects
 . This aggravates the fact that currently there are no commercially or ins
 titutional available options to experimentally verify absorbed dose in thi
 s field. This is due in part to the fact that dose measurement is especial
 ly challenging in this field.\n\nIn this talk the procedure and the criter
 ia for the development of a methodology to perform HDR BT dosimetry audits
  are described. The first part will briefly introduce the HDR BT technic a
 nd the dosimetry audits in the field of radiotherapy treatments. In the se
 cond part the challenges for dose measurement in the BT field are exposed.
  Finally\, a phantom and a methodology to perform dosimetry audits in this
